Dr. Sophy is an absolute nightmare. He is completely negligent and inattentive. How on earth you miss stomach cancer on an elderly man who presents as active but has YEARS of stomach complaints and tell him he is perfectly healthy is beyond me. Dr. Sophy robbed our family of a person who presented at the ER for what he thought was a stomach bug and died 6 weeks later.
Dr. Sophy is amazing but his office staff is rude and obnoxious. The woman who takes care of the billing is arrogant and when I call the nurse that answers the phone gives an attitude. The office had an excellent nurse, Dana, but I guess they chased her out due to all the nepotism. I am currently searching for a new PCP.
Trying to get well
I hate going to the doctor, any Dr. . When I have to go, Dr sophy and his staff get me in right away. I wait no more than 10 mins. His nurse is direct and to the point. They ALWAYS call the next day to see how I am.
