My mom had to go in to the Mitchell Avera ER and Dr Schafer was very professional and efficient. The entire staff was great when we didn't know what was going on and made her feel comfortable very quickly.
Our grandson took his 3 year old to the ER at Avera queen of peace in Mitchell SD when he hurt his leg on a slide and couldn't walk, Matthew C. Shafer was on duty. They asked if they could do a X-ray to rule out anything broken and this doctor said he didn't want to do a X-ray because of his age. This was on Friday night of Memorial day weekend. On Tuesday they took him to their doctor and got a x-ray and it was broken 🤬
