My daughter was attacked by a dog and was not able to move all of her right hand fingers. She was referred to Dr. Jones, who diagnosed her with a possible extensor tear and scheduled surgery. Because it had been a few weeks he fit her surgery into his tight schedule within a day. The prognosis was that best case scenario with a torn extensor tendon is that recovery would be limited to probably the 60%-80% range; a disheartening prognosis.
