Passing through for one night. The host let us check in early and overall was a good nights stay. Very quiet and a great view! I would upgrade the towels as my only criticism. Very accommodating and communicative hosts!
Nothing special but you get what you pay for. The Lodge is in a good location, easy to find right on the main road through Hunter, just past the main drag. The view of the mountain across the road was exactly as described and what you wake up to without any effort whatsoever. The room itself (king suite) was lovely, spacious, with a high, open rafter ceiling and a little front porch/deck with 2 adirondack chairs. One star off the rooms category because the toilet seat was detached. Usable, but detached from the assembly. Other than that, clean, no-frills - but newly-constructed - accommodations, with clear instructions, and body soap with conditioner in the shower. You're there for a good night's sleep, not some rustic ambiance. Great for summer hikers and winter skiers/snowboarders who need a place to crash.
I’m a wedding planner and had to be in the area for a wedding. Decided to stay locally so I’d be closer to my wedding. Pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness, location, comfort of the bed and there was even a full size coffee pot in the kitchen to have coffee in the morning. It was only one night but I felt rested and refreshed.
Beautiful, well taken care of rooms! We had such a beautiful and relaxed experience...! The grounds are really nice and we enjoyed having a bbq there! The view of the Hunter mountain right out our window was spectacular! Definitely reccomend this place... we cant wait to come again!!
