Handmade pasta in Wailea, and the lamb pappardelle is the plate to order. The lasagna and the melanzane alla parmigiana are the other two worth knowing, and the gluten free pizza dough gets a seventy two hour ferment. Dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Thank you for the cooking. Five stars.
Amazing service and great ribs with Italian wines.
Chicken parmesano tasted like the chicken was defrosted in a hurry or old. It was tough and tasteless. My son's pizza on the other hand tasted good.
Made reservations for a large group of 11. Manager made accommodations for us, but when we arrived had to wait another 20 minutes for Our table was ready. Server took another 10 or so to greet us and then took another 10+ to get our initial app order in. Staff was very friendly, so that definitely helped and kept them at 4 stars for service ( versus 3 or lower). The food was out of this world, which is why I would highly recommend Mateo’s to anyone looking for a nice dinner in Wailea/Kihe area.
