I worked for this chef in Miami and he is still the finest Italian chef you will find. He built up a huge following by word of mouth. It doesn't' t st any better than this!

We went on a Wednesday which they said was their slow night of the week. The staff was all over us with service. I had the white clams linguini, the best I have had in years. The hostess/bartender/wife of chef/ and person in charge, according to her, was a hoot. Great place.
My husband and i have had the incredible pleasure of dining at Matteos Garden Club.Not only was the food incredible but the service was top notch. In response to Eberts nasty reveiw we can only say we will pray for this miserable bitter unhappy person who wouldnt know fine dining if it hit over the head. The decor is light airy and wehave never eaten at a resteraunt for its decor which leads us to believe that ebert has never actually eaten there . Go to a fast food drivethru and get served what you are used to garbage.
If they could get a sign it would say – going out of business soon. Wow, they are very rude (wife) and when I ate their it was empty on a Saturday night. I could see being rude if their was some atmosphere besides dated 70′s furniture and old country club menu. Sure an Italian restaurant that specializes in Matzo ball soup. What is a garden club? Do you have bridge tables too.
