Great small restaurant. The food is very good. The people are welcoming and friendly.
So my parents took me and my two kids out to lunch prior to the school year and Olmsted Falls. I’ve been in the Mateo’s at least 16 times since I’ve been here and I have one word for several dishes SALT!!! I’m not sure if the ownership looks at this, but the chicken marsala and the carbonara along with the mac & cheese for my daughter lacked salt and it ruined the dish. Add salt after cooking doesn’t help as much as during the cooking. The shrimp scampi and the lemon salmon were really good.
Randomly stopped here for lunch and WOW!! Some of the best Italian food my husband and I have ever had. I had the carbonara and he had the bolognese. We had the pleasure of having Jessica and she was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back :)
The restaurant is incredible, great atmosphere and super friendly. The best bolognese I have ever had, would highly recommend!
