Absolutely amazing from the outside then going in was pleasant with a nice large waiting room with hot and cold water, cups and tea bags. The small retail display was lovely with many choices. The staff are friendly and very well versed in communication with a lot of knowledge.
I took my dog here after seeing another vet in Bellingham. After spending several hundreds of dollars on tests, the old vet just said 'inconclusive'. So I took my dog to Chuckanut Valley where he saw Dr . Denise Ruark. She was so caring and did a complete exam on Sparky which included tests on his blood, organs, etc. She gave him a prescription and he is getting better every day. I cannot say enough about Dr Denise Ruark,Sharon,Amy and Jena ! They bent over backwards to do emergency surgery for my corgi Willow.They worked through lunch breaks, gave support ,care and understanding to our family. Loved on Willow ,did an amazing job with surgery, explaining aftercare, a follow up phone call from the vet herself .This is the old school care of people loving animals ,and doing whatever it takes to treat them. The grooming and boarding services are top notch. My dogs are always excited to arrive, and very happy to be there. They always are groomed nicely and taken care of very well for boarding. I like that the staff is very consistent, which is important for the dogs. The staff recognizes my dogs on site, even though I only come about every 6 weeks. They treat the owners and pets with positivity and respect.
Got a same day appointment for my dog whom I was very concerned about from the day before. Even though he appeared fine by the time I got to CVVC, the tech and vet took a very detailed history and the vet examined him thoroughly and in no hurry. We agreed to some pretty comprehensive "rule in/rule out" labs and to hold off on an X-ray unless he had another episode. I was very appreciative of the time and care they took with my beloved dog.
