Great experience all the way around. Matrix was great to work with and James is a great project manager. Highly recommend Matrix and will tell freinds and neighbors to use them.

Matrix upsold their sales pitch to get us to sign a contract, then retracted many of the offerings during the plan review. I've asked to cancel the contract and they won'treturn my messages. I'm now out a down payment with no work performed. Avoid Matrix Basements if you want an honest contractor. We were offered a free quote to get work done in our basement. One of their door to door sales people came to my door last week and asked if we needed a remodel. I just bought the house and want to finish the basement so I set up a consultation for 6pm. They called and confirmed the day before, then they didn’t even show up. To not even show up, they must not need the business that bad. To not even call is just disrespectful of my time. I rushed home from work to get no showed.
We got estimates from several different companies and ended up choosing Matrix because they offered the product we liked, and included most services we wanted, and almost within our planned budget. There were some hiccups along the way, which mostly involved us as having never gone through a remodel like this not knowing enough to ask the specific questions about how things would end up looking.
