I have excellent private insurance and have never had an issue with the insurance company or payments. Prior to surgery I made sure all involved had my insurance information. They didn't run the insurance at all,or even try. Instead they sent me a bill. I'm sure they would prefer my cash instead.
The anesthesiologist was great—professional, kind, and made me feel well-prepared for surgery. However, the billing process was an issue. I paid the bill through the United Healthcare portal, assuming everything was handled. Weeks later, I got a call from a collections agency saying the bill was unpaid. When I contacted Matrix, I was told they don’t accept payments through UHC’s portal—so they had never received the funds. adding to the other reviews on here - they are all accurate and unfortunately it’s true (not a scam, but seems super scammy). i had emergency surgery at overlake hospital 4 months ago, and according to MyChart and our insurance, we paid everything off. randomly got an extremely random/unofficial letter in the mail (from a company i literally have never heard of) 4 months after surgery stating this was the final reminder to pay (again, have never heard anything about this literally ever before) or they would send it to collec... read more
I made the payment on Feb/09 and they sent me a mail notice on Feb/12 saying that I still haven't paid the balance and is going to send the payment to collection. What a rubbish company
