In July of 1973, Bob and Chris Matirko fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening up their Matirko Hardware business on a quiet stretch of Route 940 in Pocono Lake. That stretch wasn't quiet for long, as Tobyhanna Township tripled in population, and Tunkhannock Township, just south, has increased almost fourfold. As of 12/19/2020 they still fail to have staff wear a mask, and do not follow the PA mandate of both workers and customers to use masks or social distance. We are taking our business elsewhere.
