The sunshine bun was EXCELLENT and the staff was super nice even though it was quite busy!
My husband and I just moved to the area and were excited to check this place out. When we were asking about some of their items, we found out some of the items were gluten free but were not labeled (ie. Cupcakes). The carrot cake looked gorgeous but was stale and the dried carrot pieces on top may have looked cute but was not a good texture with it. The packaged cookies were okay but a bit dry.

Saturday, December 2025: My husband and I stopped at Matilda Bakehouse for a coffee and snack. The staff were very friendly and the cafe is spacious. They had a variety of baked goods to choose from- we opted for the cinnamon roll and the seasonal danish. We also ordered a cappuccino and an americano. The baked goods we had were okay.
