I booked a reservation here as a gift for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. They said the food was excellent. However, the servers put them in an awkward position when they refused to verify their reservation by calling me and approving the booking and card on file. Because of what the staff said was your "policy" they had to pay out of pocket when this was supposed to be a gift. This awkward situation would have been completely avoided by simply calling me. Please fix your booking system!
Love the atmosphere and the service. This place feels as good as the restaurant's strong reputation as a high end place for fine dining and special occasions. And the cocktails were good. But the food was really mixed. Lovely sourdough and a surprisingly terrific salad. The Matia experience is truly life giving. Whole food ingredients are the foundation of the utmost creative dishes here. I had the 10 course tasting menu with the wine pairing and each course was completely unique and delicious. The final bite was actually the best thing I’ve ever tasted! The service was phenomenal, our server described all dishes and wines in great detail and included fun facts about the seasonal food and the wine’s lore. The restaurant itself is beautiful, chic, and cozy with stunning local art. If you’re ... read more
Service was amazing. Food did not knock me out. The Japanese waffle dish was delicious. But the chicken roulade was horrible. Like hard, weird chicken that looked underdone and over processed. Truly no bueno. It came highly recommended by the server so didn't want to say anything... so that's on me. I gotta say tho the wine pours are a VERY short, like comical, and the cocktails were eh.
