Such a nice and educated veterinarian. Took care of our baby. Been there before with other animals and will definitely go back. Love that he doesn’t automatically run 100 tests like most vets will. Of course he will if needed. But it’s nice to not get a thousand dollar vet bill when you go in with a sick puppy
Blackiston Mill animal clinic is the best. Dr. Matthewson takes his time to get to know his patients and their owners. The prices are reasonable also.
Monday we took my cat there because he was drooling and doing crazy stuff with his mouth. Told the dr what was going on he barely opened my cat’s mouth and said my cat was fine and that a four year-old cat would not have teeth problems and charged me $75. Yesterday Wednesday) we took our cat to Hillside to find out that he has ulcers on the top of his mouth and a layer of skin missing. The dr should have caught that. My name is Kelly Schickel, we have 4 dogs that we take to Dr. Mathewson and I have always felt he gave professional care, avoided unnecessary costly tests and only did xrays labs when needed. We did have to go to another vet to have that done bc his office is without an xray but for the quality, genuine care for our dogs im fine with that. Dr Mathewson is the best vet! He is so knowledgeable and compassionate. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my dog.
