It was one of the first funeral establishments in this area to offer air conditioning, chapel and off street parking. For 35 years, the funeral business was housed in one of Albanys's oldest homes, the Dr. W. L. Davis' house, which was originally built in 1876 by Confederate Colonel Edwin Wight. Mathews was nothing but professional and helpful in dealing with the loss of my mother. They took care of absolutely everything over the phone and mailed my mother's remains to the family who are currently unable to drive that far. I highly recommend them.

Been using matthews for years. Since 2005. They did wonderful for my grandmother's service in 2005. Beautiful service in 2019 for my father in law danny gardner and in 2023 for my mother in law susie gardner. The people there are truly amazing and wonderful.
