I am extremely frustrated with my recent visit with Dr. Pombo. I was seen for a simple sprained ankle, received an X-ray, and was given a walking boot. Before accepting the boot, I specifically asked about the cost and was told it would be approximately $100. The same product can be purchased on Amazon for $20–$40. I have since received a bill for $335.04. At no point did anyone disclose that the supplier of the boot is considered out-of-network, resulting in significantly higher charges. Dr.Pombo was the only doctor to find what was wrong with my knee. I went to multiple doctors and no one listened to me and it was nice to find someone who finally listened to the issues I was having and actually take their time to see what was wrong.
Dr. Pombo is excellent! I had a full thickness tear to my rotator cuff which he surgically repaired along with my labrum and bicep tendon. I am very active in off road cycling and Dr. Pombo assured me that he would get me back out there. He was correct. This is a tough procedure but 6 months post op I was cleared for normal activity. And now 1 year later my shoulder feels great. Dr. Pombo is also very personable and is great at answering all of your questions honestly and direct. I highly recommend Dr. Pombo!!
