I had a very positive pregnancy journey with Dr. Shonah Runalls. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. From day one, she guided me step by step throughout my pregnancy and always made me feel supported. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and always took the time to explain everything clearly. I didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Kot. To exemplify, every appointment I felt not heard either respected. In every appointment, I felt Dr. Kot was in a rush and I couldn’t properly express my concerns ( about my pregnancy). Moreover, I do remember I was complaining about my swallowing , which was not normal, and she said “ it is okay, normal ”. Later, the swallowing was getting worse and my blood pressure was very high. This review is about Dr. Kot. She is fatphobic and is weight biased. Due to my body size she wanted me to do a procedure that is unnecessary and very invasive. Her bedside manner is horrible. For reference I am 5' 2" and 318lbs. I broke down in tears when she told me to lose weight. Wake up, BMI is bullshit. I know plenty of plus size women who don't have the same issue I have. Size doesnt matter. I should be treated and advocated for the same way as a "normal/thin" size person. I'm sick and tired of the weight discriminatio... read more
