On 12th August 25 went into Bundaberg Mater Hospital Day Surgery for Belly button Hernia . From going thru the door being greeted by wonderful staff and meeting my Surgeon Dr H Kotakadeniya, Dr Huw John and his theatre team who all did amazing work really made me feel comfortable for what was ahead. Every single person i've interacted with- nurses, receptionists, surgeon, anesthesiologist etc have all been very friendly and kind. Very grateful to have been referred here

Recently had day surgery to remove BCC from right side of my nose. From the moment I entered the hospital on Friday morning I was treated so professionally and I want to say that this was the best pre op treatment I have ever received, from , the pre admitting nurse, to all theatre staff, recovery staff etc, until I left to return home. Most incompetent hospital I have ever dealt with. My 7 year old daughter had to have surgery. They got her first name wrong on the paperwork, they tried to double bill me in both hers and the incorrect name. The anaesthetist did not receive the health questionnaire because the hospital used the wrong name. They put her in the wrong room post op and had to move her in her groggy state. The so called nurse removed the cannula without applying pressure; blood everywhere. They lost her medication and it was just an ongoing ship ... read more
