Got a little piece of metal in my eye when sweeping off my brother's work bench. It was around 8:30 in the evening. Urgent care and Palmer was closed. So I went to the emergency room to see if they could remove the irritating piece metal. It was a quick and easy check in screening and it was taken care of in less than an hour.

I was traveling in Alaska when I received a call from the S.C. Dept. Of Public Health telling me that an encounter I had with a fawn who was attacked by a fox could have exposed me to rabies. They recommended that I get the rabies vaccines. I came to the ER here for my 1st set of shots - 6! Everyone here was wonderful. They were kind, caring and professional! I’m so grateful for them all!!

I showed up on a Monday in the ED, with a swollen & sore leg. I was concerned about a blood clot. An ultrasound was performed and read, and my diagnosis was Edema. I was told to go home and rest. Two days later, I checked into another hospital ED, only to find I had a “massive amount” of blood clots or DTV in that leg. I could have died in the time that I was home “resting” as I was told to do by the MatSu doctor. There’s a reason they call this place Death Valley.
