Our experience here has been great. Not exaggerating in that my 3 year old was influenced enough to make the bed to earn a stripe. All the instructors/management are extremely professional, kind, and caring. They have known my child’s name and have engaged him seamlessly since day 1 - actually from the moment I emailed! Definitely worth it and brings purpose.

I underestimated how many benefits my 3 children were getting here at Mastery Smithfield. They are learning skills beyond exercise, beyond sharp movement. They are mastering their mind and emotions. We joined the Mastery Smithfield team around September 2025. Our 5 y.o has soared from this program. His confidence and self-esteem has tripled. He doesn’t shy away and is more proactive in helping others. He really applies the black belt mindset to everything he does within and outside of the dojo. Our son’s teacher told us that she is very impressed with his confidence and “I can do it” attitude. She said he talks about karate all the time and she def thinks it has helped him believe in himself and his attitude towards how he is able to do new things and get things done. She thinks it’s amazing for his view on how he thinks about himself and his abilities, for a kid with ADHD this can sometimes be an area where they would struggle. My son started in mastery just doing parkour on Saturday mornings. Every time we came there he wanted to watch the other kids do karate and soon enough he tried out the little dragons and he feel in love with it. Now he is going 2x a week, doing the leadership program and since then we have seen such an amazing turn around in his whole attitude. The staff is so amazing and I couldn’t be happier with everything they have done for all of us.
