Our son’s teacher told us that she is very impressed with his confidence and “I can do it” attitude. She said he talks about karate all the time and she def thinks it has helped him believe in himself and his attitude towards how he is able to do new things and get things done. She thinks it’s amazing for his view on how he thinks about himself and his abilities, for a kid with ADHD this can sometimes be an area where they would struggle. My son started in mastery just doing parkour on Saturday mornings. Every time we came there he wanted to watch the other kids do karate and soon enough he tried out the little dragons and he feel in love with it. Now he is going 2x a week, doing the leadership program and since then we have seen such an amazing turn around in his whole attitude. The staff is so amazing and I couldn’t be happier with everything they have done for all of us.

We couldn’t be happier with Mastery Martial Arts of Smithfield. Their karate program not only teaches excellent martial arts skills but also reinforces core values, responsibility, and a growth mindset. Mr. West and all the instructors are encouraging and patient, helping my child build confidence and a genuine “yes I can” attitude. The community feels warm and supportive, like an extended family, and I’m truly grateful for the impact they’ve had on our children’s development over the last 5 years.
I can’t say enough great things about Mastery Martial Arts staff and especially Mr. West! He is an amazing human being who is truly passionate about what he does and the impact he has on the kids. My 7-year-old daughter has always been a bit shy, but after her very first tryout, she fell in love with the environment, the instructors, and the values they teach here.
