Stay away from building with Masterton Homes. My parents had a duplex built in 2018. There has been leaks in the walls, and bathrooms ever since! In 2025 we had a major leak from the upstairs bathroom to the ceiling downstairs. We were told that the warranty has expired and they can’t do anything to resolve. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Workmanship is terrible and not like it was 30 years ago! Your house will start falling apart at the 6 year warranty, and they will tell you it’s no longer their fault.
Good build but get those building and warranty reports. Masterton quality has dropped their teams just hide behind guides and standards and don’t even bother addressing serious defects. Poor paintwork, Poor correspondence and customer service. The brand name no longer means any standard compared to 20 years plus ago. EDIT: I have been in contact and they will come out to look at some issues but at the end of the day, to me Masterton prefers to hire warranty people than better contractors in my opinion.
