We live in a rural area - no one wanted to touch our stovetop downdraft replacement. I tried Masters Wholesale in Rancho Cordoba and they didn't want to bother with us. He said "we don't make anything off downdrafts." That was after giving me a quote, and every time I called to order they never called back.
