I brought my 1.8 Turbo Volkswagen Passat in and the first think I liked about Jake was that he didn't turn me a way since I drive an import, let alone a Volkswagen (they can be a challenge to work on sometimes.) I have had work done here when wade was the owner and he was phenomenal. I live in longview wa and was visiting family in colfax wa. I had called jake and let him know I got a P1259 code and check engine light. He let me know exactly what was wrong, a (vtech solenoid valve). I asked him if he would take it off and clean it, to see if that would help. He said no problem. I waited all weekend brought my van in. We lived in Colfax for 5 years. With two cars and lots of commuting we saw Wade (owner) pretty often. He is the most outstanding master mechanic we have ever known. He was entirely honest with us, often telling us when we did not need services and teaching my husband how to do a few things himself. He even made a device to fit into the turn signal to get the wiper fluid to work. This guy knows his stuff and now that we have moved he is honestly the thing we miss most about Colfax.
