I used to defend this man. People would LAUGH OUT LOUD when I'd share who my primary care physician is. I no longer defend this practice; it has earned its reputation. Last week, when I asked for a routine work physical for a new position, I was told "the doctor cannot perform work physicals" because there's no money to be made and insurance won't pay for them. Dr. Burnett saved my life. He is not only a great doctor and mentor, but he is one of the only addiction specialists in the area who can actually understand and treat the underlying causes for addiction and still hold patients accountable. I've been to 10+ doctors for my issues and since meeting him 7 years ago I won't see anyone else. I highly recommend him to people I meet.
