I spoke with the new owners today who informed me that massala is currently closed, the previous owners have left and took all website ownership with them, they have asked people not to use their website to place orders, they are hoping to reopen in a few weeks with a new menu and service.

I'm not one to get an Indian takeaway and my partner thought he'd get me to try Massala as its where he has always ordered from. First impressions were good, prices were alright and it smelt wonderful when it arrived however that all changed when we plated it up to eat. Rice was fine, then went to put the butter chicken curry on the plate and discovered that a WHOLE BIC BIRO PEN was at the bottom of the pot of curry. Ordered on just eat at 7pm called several times to be told it’s 10mins away but at 9.10pm still nothing. Called just eat and got a refund absolutely shocking. Wish I saw the reviews before ordering. Never going to return here again.

Ordered at 7:40pm Friday, advised 25-30 minutes. Received at 9:50pm!!!! Made several phone calls, the first when we had been waiting an hour, and were told it would be an additional 25 minutes. The second time, 35 minutes later, were were told another 20 minutes. We rang up a third time at 9:40pm and asked to cancel the order and give us a refund, where my wife was told, they couldn't as they'd cooked the food and it was on it's way. 15 minutes later, it finally arrived without so much as an apology.
