$58,263 for normal delivery before insurance (no c-section, includes 2 night in nursery, everything was medically necessary). We have insurance so we didn't pay this amount but wow. Writing this review because they don't even have the decency to provide one clear comprehensive bill or explain anything, but instead they were 6 different bills that slowly trickled in month after month for half a year.
People are always going to share their bad experiences, and I’m so sorry for that. The women at MGH labor and delivery saved my life and my babies life. I was brought in for an emergency C-section due to high blood pressure. Everyone, I mean everyone, from the pediatrician to the anesthesiologist were kind, informative, and compassionate through a very scary procedure and life event. February baby was born at Mass General. Another shoutout to Nurse Meghan at labor delivery birthing floor. I used Nitrous Oxide. Shoutout to Mrs Victoria. I preferred the less people after birthing experience 2022. Two visitors just showed up to my room the first night I had all my ultrasounds in this building 2022 and 2025.
My wife had a pretty terrible experience (although she would never be this critical and I'm writing this on my own). They didn't prep us at all for an issue that arose 10 days before due date; they made us feel super stressed during our final visit; they didn't review a medical issue that was flagged during the first ultrasound which ended up playing a bit of a role during delivery; they messed up the procedure such that my wife has to return to get it fixed; and worst of all the lactation consults were just abysmal; they ju... read more
