My experience at the tinnitus clinic was great but the follow up experience with Otology was disappointing. There was a real lack of support and communication around scheduling and insurance to the point where I never even went to my appointment.
Emergency department My experience at Mass Eye and Ear emergency Deoartment today has been extremely disappointing. I have already been waiting for 4 hours, and we were just told that because they are short-staffed, it could take another 4 hours. An approximately 8-hour wait is unacceptable. Went into the ED early Saturday morning. Staff was kind and took care of my issue rapidly. Nurse Michelle was friendly and efficient at triage. PA Harwood was capable, efficient, personable and overall excellent. Several facilities issues: 1. The hand wave sensors to unlock the door to depart were difficult to activate when exiting 2. The open air parking lot across Storrow Drive had its entry arm stuck at the half raised position. 3. Had an appointment with Dr ABdul Aziz and had a follow up question and was swiftly dismissed. My question was about something that was discussed at my decent appointment. Very irresponsible and unprofessional of the people she has fielding her emails. HOW is a patient not allowed any semblance of follow-up care? 0 out of 10 for ease of scheduling, care for patients, and for overall experience at a BOSTON hospital.
