Mason's Pecan Shelling was started during the pecan season in 1967 by Bill & Karen Mason was strictly seasonal based on the size of the years pecan crop. Being a ¿¿¿seasonal¿¿¿ business meant closing down over the summer until the next season began around the time of the first fall/winter freeze.
