Fantastic "secret" public pool in Boston – This pool is right near South Bay Shopping Center so it is very close to many Boston neighborhoods (South End, Roxbury, North Dorchester, Southie, etc.) Prices are very reasonable for Boston residents and the cost of swim lessons for kids is about 1/4 the cost at other, private pools. Great Public Pool ~ Boston – This pool is a pleasure to discover in an industrial area not far from Boston City Hospital, next to the Mason School. Completely renovated 3 years ago, it has small dressing rooms and clean showers. The staff are really friendly; and keep the place spotless. Tip: join for the year and it costs $25 for Boston residents. Can't beat that. They have an extensive summer program; as well as swim lessons for kids and adults. 5 stars. "Swim, don't walk!"
