Unsettling experience while trying to schedule an appointment for my child. During the text conversation, I was informed that this office does not accept ChampVA insurance, but they would bill Medicare. I have never encountered that situation before. After asking additional questions to the person handling billing, I was told that only hospital settings and hospital-based providers are legally required to accept ChampVA.
