If you’re in Somerset, NJ and craving something different, Masala Bay is worth checking out. This place is like the Chipotle of Indian and Mediterranean food – you build your own bowls, naan wraps, or flatbreads with a variety of toppings and proteins. They’ve got everything from quinoa to falafel, chicken tikka to harissa hummus, so it’s easy to make something healthy and tasty. The protein and rice weren’t properly heated and the salads and dipping sauces tasted like something was not right. I still ate half the bowl. Next day I have an upset stomach. They don’t heat up their food or something? I think they microwaved it inside the kitchen. Don’t know what’s going on but I don’t recommend it if you don’t see any of the options outside on the counter in front of your eyes.
