I had surgery with Dr. Kanayama in February 2024. Prior to my surgery, I was in terrible pain 24/7. I had trouble sitting, couldn't work out, and my periods were awful. He was the first and only doctor to validate the pain I was feeling and tell me "No one should have to live like this." There’s no doubt he’s a good, well-informed surgeon. He has good bedside manner and willing to answer all your preop questions. My issues stem with him postop. Before surgery i could sleep on either side, wear comfortable clothes, lift heavy at the gym and while doing housework, and was generally able-bodied. After surgery my pain had me practically bedbound for 4 months and am still unable to do all the other stuff. You couldn't ask for a better, kinder, knowledgeable, and down to earth doctor!!! If only more doctors had his skill and efficacy. If you have chronic endometriosis, look NO FURTHER! He is THE BEST, hands down! He has performed three surgeries on me, (Not typical, I have had endo for 30 yrs.), and with each one, perfection and instant relief! Anyone who can receive his care is blessed🙏! Dr. K, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
