There’s no doubt he’s a good, well-informed surgeon. He has good bedside manner and willing to answer all your preop questions. My issues stem with him postop. Before surgery i could sleep on either side, wear comfortable clothes, lift heavy at the gym and while doing housework, and was generally able-bodied. After surgery my pain had me practically bedbound for 4 months and am still unable to do all the other stuff. You couldn't ask for a better, kinder, knowledgeable, and down to earth doctor!!! If only more doctors had his skill and efficacy. If you have chronic endometriosis, look NO FURTHER! He is THE BEST, hands down! He has performed three surgeries on me, (Not typical, I have had endo for 30 yrs.), and with each one, perfection and instant relief! Anyone who can receive his care is blessed🙏! Dr. K, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

I started having endo pain at the age of 12 (started my period at 8) and had the most excruciating pain every other month with no understanding of whatwas going on. After 5+ years of visiting various doctors to help me understand what was happening to me, Dr. Kanayama assessed (and verified via MRI) that I was struggling with Endometriosis, Adenomysis and fibroids). Dr. Kanayama, was thoughtful and recommended surgery that would keep my reproductive system in tact. His intervention is/was lifesaving. With almost 6 months post op - I feel great! I can not thank him enough for what he's done for me and the countless women he's saved.
