I hate writing bad reviews of any company, but Maryville Monument installed a marker for my mother’s grave. I created the design and they performed the work to my satisfaction. The only issue I had with them is, the vase they provided was not of standard size and they argued it was. The flowers that I purchased from the florist was designed and installed on styrofoam. This morning Maryville Monument placed my parents' headstone on their joint resting place in Townsend, TN. From my tearful initial visit to the showroom up to installation today, everyone was professional while also showing compassion throughout the process. Allison Waters gave me options, made suggestions and was patient and kind while I made choices for the headstone. I chose to use both sides of the stone and you will see that in the photos. It’s never a pleasant time to pick out your parents tombstone but Allison made it a good experience! They did an amazing job we love it and know mom would also!
After a sudden death in the family, I was worried my brother and I would be taken advantage of planning their daughter’s funeral. That is not what happened. A very pleasant woman quoted what to us—who know nothing about the cost of gravestones—seemed to be a reasonable price. When her boss came in, she whispered, “they’re all the same price, aren’t they?” His reply, so quiet most of us didn’t hear was, “no they aren’t.” Turns out our salesperson quoted us a price $1300 less than she should have.
