Updates: 1) apparently this hematologist doesn't know how to check for a Hematology related disease called high IgG4. Ironically, I found it via a Hematology website so yes hematologist should know what it is. My Immunologists suspects I have it. The hematologist should've been smart enough to know how to check for it. 2) The "fun" continues and ends today. I am very disappointed with my recent experience. I was advised to complete iron infusions due to chest pain and low hemoglobin/iron levels. During the first infusion, I had an allergic reaction and could not finish the treatment. Despite that, the billing still includes charges for that infusion as well as the others, totaling over $500. I do not believe it is fair to be charged for a medication I was allergic to and could not receive. As a hemotologist patient they made me feel discarded and not important never got my labs done not go here for hematology unless cancer patient.

I am in the process of being evaluated to become a living donor. Historically I have had low iron markers. I have lived in several states and I have always had access to quality medical care. None of my previous doctors ever could tell me why. Dr. Bushuri (sp) was able to make a connection with weight loss surgery from 2010 by viewing my medical history. Edit 2: in case you're like me, and you didn't know, if you click on this button where it says cancel (see the screenshot) it doesn't actually cancel apparently. And then you're stuck with an appointment that you can't attend and you have to call the office the day of the appointment to cancel it because nobody ever told you it wasn't canceled.
