Attending Small Mouth Sounds at the Maryland Ensemble Theater isn't like just attending a play. Maybe because it's in the round--it's like being at a the silent retreat with the 6 characters, listening to the retreat director as a participant. And maybe that's why in the telling afterward I had everyone laughing, although the audience wa s not inclined to laugh during the play so as not to embarass or mock the participants on the stage.
