I cannot recommend this practice. I had hoped to find a local neurosurgeon in Annapolis who could provide non-surgical options as well as surgical ones, if necessary. The protocol for this practice is to send every patient through a PA and not an MD. Because I was not permitted to make an appointment with the MD, I was misdiagnosed by the PA and received costly and unnecessary cortisone injections. I had several appointments with them and got the injections that were recommended. I asked in a couple of occasions to see the actual dr not just a pa since it seemed that I still had the pain. I was told that I did not qualify for a Dr to see me, he already saw my scans. I even requested on my last appointment and was told that he would be in that day. I just have to say that this office and Dr. Sullivan are amazing! I needed a microdiscectomy L5/S1 due to a herniated disc pressing on my S1 nerve, I was having excruciating nerve pain and numbness in my left leg. At first, they recommended an epidural steroid injection which unfortunately did not work but I was appreciative of their initial conservative approach. Wasted 2 years of my time and money on this place. Not only did they not care that I was in pain but they rejected updated MRIs and told me the pain is not coming from my back! Updated mri low and below! Don’t waste your time on this place they do not care about their patients at all.
I had spine surgery in June, Dr Sullivan performed the surgery & Nurse practitioner Kevin was there to support, they both were so kind & caring, always ready to answer any questions I had & I genuinely felt cared for. The office staff were also great! Thank you to all of you!
