I've never liked a doctor more, or felt so compelled to be completely open about my life, medical history and concerns. Dr. Mirto is a kind, good humored, extraordinarily thorough caregiver who seems truly unflappable and free of any bias or rush. Please understand how rare such empathy and humanity are in the context of a giant modern medical system, and HOW MUCH it comes down to the sheer will of an individual doctor to stand against the tide of corporate medicine and be an actual healer these days. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Mirto. She has truly become one of my favorite doctors, and I feel incredibly blessed to have found her. She is professional, knowledgeable, caring, and attentive. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and make me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I was also very impressed with how quickly everything was handled. Dr. Mirto is a very nice woman, but she is terrible replying to emails. I have been waiting 9 days to hear from HER about my annual. While the nurses, when I write an email trying to follow up on the annual results, forward the message to her, I get no reply from the Dr. herself. This is the second time this happens. I contacted the Patient Relations to complain about this, as I loathe writing these reviews, but I think women need to know about this before seeing her. I saw Dr. Mirto December 18th and she prescribed a medication for hot flashes in which my insurance denied. I have sent numerous messages and have even made phone calls about prescribing something else. One of her nurses responded to several of my messages and stated she sent all my messages to the doctor. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr. Mary Mirto. I found her to be unprofessional and not caring toward her patients. I had a bone density scan on November 22nd and, despite multiple requests and messages, I still have not received my results. Dr. Mirto has never reached out to explain the delay or discuss my results, and patient relations has also failed to follow up.
