She is an awesome surgeon with a wonderful, caring bedside manor. She takes great care of her patients and if they need a referral somewhere else, she is great at knowing where to send people.

I recently saw Dr. MacDonald for the first time when I was having a very tough time healthwise. I found her to be thorough, smart and caring. I also loved her staff.
Dr. MacDonald has done several procedures on me and also did my son's emergency Appendectomy when he was 9. She is one of the best surgeon's in the state. She is very good at what she does, and explains things well, and is very compassionate.
Doctor MacDonald performed surgery on me when I was terrified because of a negative experience with a different surgeon before. She was amazing. She's very skilled, patient centered, and truly cares. She put me at ease and helped me to leave the hospital with a successful procedure.
Recently spent 6 days in Samaritan UH after an emergency Appendectomy (perforated) & also coded while being transferred from OR to Recovery. I received excellent care from everyone during my stay from the surgeon on down to the Nurses, ER staff, RT, Anesthesia & Supervisors. My wife works for Samaritan & it felt as though we were surrounded by family the entire time & the support was amazing. I owe Dr. Macdonald my life & am so glad she was there for me.
