I have only seen Dr. Leary once and had a wonderful experience. I went for an annual/Pap and to discuss my options about chronic pain. She was my second opinion. She listened to me. She shook my hand, was gentle, both physically and with her words. (Easiest pap ever). The comments about how she concentrates on weight made me want to share my experience. First she tortured me while inserting my iud. No meds and she kept struggling and blaming my anatomy (while grinding tools inside of me. I should have advocated for myself but had never had an iud before so tolerated it. I didn't go back to her for years but needed to see a dr immediately so since I was somewhat established I went back to her. She helped me lose 40 pounds!
Dr. Leary is an incredibly insensitive and insulting doctor who should be fired immediately. At my appointment with her 2 days ago, she fat shamed me the entire visit from start to finish. I have seen many other reviews that say the exact same thing that I am saying so please save yourself the trouble and heartache and do not go to this doctor. If I could give her zero stars I would.
I don’t recommend this doctor, especially if you’re overweight, have an eating disorder, or body image problems. I went in for severe period irregularity and guessed that I might have PCOS. Dr. Leary performed a few labs which came back as mostly normal, but warranted further investigation. However, she told me to just lose weight and come back in a few months if I still have problems.
