Dr. Leary is an incredibly insensitive and insulting doctor who should be fired immediately. At my appointment with her 2 days ago, she fat shamed me the entire visit from start to finish. I have seen many other reviews that say the exact same thing that I am saying so please save yourself the trouble and heartache and do not go to this doctor. If I could give her zero stars I would.
I don’t recommend this doctor, especially if you’re overweight, have an eating disorder, or body image problems. I went in for severe period irregularity and guessed that I might have PCOS. Dr. Leary performed a few labs which came back as mostly normal, but warranted further investigation. However, she told me to just lose weight and come back in a few months if I still have problems. If I could give zero stars to this woman, I would. I went in for a yearly OBGYN appointment a few days ago. The first thing she said was that I had gained 18 pounds since I had last seen her. I said that I wanted to lose a bit of weight but I am happy where I am right now. She stated that I need to lose weight now because I won't be able to shake that weight in my 30s. After years of being her patient, I needed a referral for testing. When they called back they said I had only seen her once, 2 years ago and referred me to call my surgeon for all things in the future……. He is not a gynecologist!!! I was appalled, needless to say, I have a new doctor now…..
I came in her office for heavy bleeding and heavy periods which is abnormal for me. She told me it was because I was fat. I demanded an ultrasound and she said she could give me one but regardless she wasn’t going to anything about it. She tapped me on my back and said lose 30 lbs
