I find the negative reviews so bizarre. Dr. Carroll was patient, efficient, answered my questions thoroughly, encouraged me about anxiety I had for a procedure I would need and then did a much better job at the procedure than in my previous experience, even telling me a story about cute owls she had seen to distract me during the procedure and patiently waiting when I needed to pause in the middle. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
This doctor told me that she or her staff would call in a prescription for me and never followed through on that. That same day, she literally told me not to call her to check on it and that if I did they wouldn't take the time to respond to me. About the doctor herself, she definitely took her time to explain to me why she thought I had the same condition her husband did just because her husband has it too. Terrible experience. Mary was cruel to me, insulted my appearance and made me feel less than human. She acted like I deserved my medical condition and offered no real solution. How is this person a doctor? She clearly hates people.
This woman is the absolute worst. She made me wait 30 minutes for my appointment and never apologized or explained why she was late. She comes prancing in with these weird shoes on - nothing a doctor would wear - at all. She didn’t even look at me - just at the computer screen. Dr Carroll has offered me both excellent and effective care for over 5 years for Graves disease (hyperthyroidism), and I highly recommend her for her knowledge, guidance, encouragement, and seeing me as a person to collaborate with in my own health. I wish I could clone her, and thus find her in my new Portland home area. Her gradual approach to treatment changes with testing and monitoring has allowed a reduction in my medication of over 90%.
