I ordered shutters long distance ( I’ve done business with Marvel before). The owner discussed what we need; gave me options and then arranged for a Hunter Douglass representative to come to my house and measure. I was notified about 3-4 weeks later that the shutters were received by the local representative. He arranged a date for installation; he came as scheduled and installed them. I would not recommend Marvel Home Decorating because of the lack of customer service. They came to our home on August 29th....the one and only time, to see if they could repair a sliding glass door blind. They decided the best course of action was to remove the blind and send it back to their factory for repair. I was told "someone from the office" would be in touch. I never heard anything. I was looking for a remote controlled shade to cover a large east facing bedroom window when the sun is a problem in the morning. Marvel had a Hunter Douglass roller shade that looked like it would work. They came to the house and measured and showed us many fabric samples. We came up with a plan and a few weeks later the shade arrived. I installed it and we are totally happy with it. They helped solve one problem I had during installation. Wasn't happy with Marvel but now I am. I had 15 motorized shades and one stationary shade installed in 2016. So far the stationary shade has broken 3 times. Marvel came out in the past, but now I had to bring it to them. They sent it back to Hunter Douglas. All shades are Hunter Douglas. Trying to find out about the status of my shade has been a problem. I have called and emailed to no avail. Shade was supposed to be ready last Saturday or Monday. Nothing yet. All this to the tune of $70 for repair. Product didn't last 10 ye... read more
