We ordered a monument from Schlitzberger & Daughters Monument Co. We had issues due to Schlitzberger & Daughters Monument Co. acquisition and merger into Martus Stone. Unfortunately it took Martus Stone over 90 days to install our monument, which went past the promised installation date of 12 months. We learned never to accept a contract showing +/- 12 months because it doesn’t specify how much time +/- actually is. We ordered a headstone monument in June 2024. We paid in full as agreed and Martus Stone keeps giving us B.S. reasons why they haven’t installed it after having received our full payment over 90 days ago. They even refuse to give us the courtesy of an expected installation date either. They want full payment in advance, then they don’t care about getting your order delivered.
Friendly people from a good local family will look after your needs and can be trusted.
I was helped by Vicky and David and they both made the process of selecting my Mother's headstone so easy. I live a few hours away so David helped me with the design over the phone and through email. He was very upfront about the process and gave me the space and time to process it all. Vicky helped with final payment and coordinating the setting of the headstone and was so very nice when she called. I recently visited this location and was helped by a wonderful young woman named Monica. She was simply delightful. My wife and I were reluctant to do this kind of "shopping" but talking to this associate made our day. WE stayed and visited awhile and we will recommend this place 10 out of 10 times to anyone.
