The food is good, but the look of the interior is very dated. It feels like a time capsule but not in a good way.
Fried chicken was crispy and somewhat moist, but lacked seasoning. Sides were generous in portion, but again, lacked seasoning. Also, I can't say I've ever eaten sweet black-eyed peas. Our food came out, but we had to ask for silverware. There were quite a few flies in the dining rooms. Some reviews politely said it was "homey" - maybe resembled theirs. Owners should seriously think about replacing the worn carpet and the cruddy bathroom sinks.
I was reluctant at first but the food was amazing. There wasn't any wait time and the cornbread muffins tasted like your grandma was reincarnated in their kitchen, lol! I highly recommend this restaurant.
