Called my partner “stupid” and sold me a Saab that lasted three months. .
I will tell you up front that I never had a car that needed work done by Martin's Auto; he was never my auto mechanic. I met him because I wrote a news article about him for my local paper some 10 years ago. I am here to tell you he is a stand up guy who cares about people. I interviewed him in person shortly after his business and home was burnt to the ground and he had just reopened his business on Federal Street. Lemon I bought a Saab for close to 3k at Martin's. It was inoperable within a month despite his assurance it was a great and reliable car. Avoid Martin's at all costs.
I was told that the Saab I bought was mechanically sound. It turns out it leaks oil, coolant, transmission fluid and the turbo is bad. I should have known better and Martin's Auto should have been upfront in disclosing the long list of flaws. This $2700 Saab lasted me 8 months despite constant care on my part before it totally broke down with no hope of repair. Do NOT buy a car from Martin's. I have found better Saabs for a third the price on CL.
This place was recommended by both my girlfriend and my neighbor. My girlfriend loves these guys. She's loyal to Martin's for service/repairs and recently purchased a little Hyundai there. So I dropped off my Audi after many failed attempts by other garages (incl. an Audi dealership!) to fix whatever was causing my check engine light to come on.
