My husband and I used Lester, Brenda, Bethany, and the crew at Martin Wood products on our new construction. I bought three watermelon bags of Martin Wood Products 'waste energy ends', made mostly of popular, alder, w/ some fir and oak. These small light waste ends do not have the BTUs to drive a large stove, but ignite easily and work fairly well in starting base fires for full-size Lignetics or North Idaho Energy Logs. The MWP Op mentioned that the company was thinking of moving to the 'compressed brick-style' and I'd probably be a buyer of those.
