My maiden name is Brenda Winters of the Winters Monument business started by my grandfather of WW1 Claude Campbell Winters and my grandmother Connie Reid Winters of Altus, Oklahoma. He discovered the granite rock quarry here used today for monuments and buildings. He also blasted rocks out of the mountains. My father Robert O Winters and his older brother started this business. Buried in Vernon, Texas where I was born.
