Martin Marietta Onslow Quarry has provided some absolutely unforgettable experiences for our kids through several school trips. Fun place to search for fossils. Staff are helpful and look out for visitors' safety. You have to schedule ahead and jump through a few hoops to be able to dig here, but the potential finds are worth that hassle. Use footwear you don't value a lot, shoes will accumulate a ton of fine gray silt.
