Dr. Benjamin was recommended to me by my breast surgeon. I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and was going to have a double mastectomy and reconstruction. I remembered my mother’s horrible experience with breast cancer in 1977 and was extremely apprehensive at the thought of having these kind of surgeries. I was looking for a plastic surgeon that was extremely skilled and had the upmost patient care for my implant exchange. I had been to a few in town and just didn’t feel it was the right fit. Upon meeting Dr. Martin, I felt at ease and felt as if I mattered. He was kind, compassionate and highly skilled and knowledgeable. His staff was phenomenal and treat you so kindly. Dr. Benjamin has been great. He really took the time to understand my needs and explain options to me. I’ve had 3 kids which caused an umbilical hernia. I had surgery to fix the hernia Oct 2024 by a different general surgeon who did a poor job. I have a few things working against me: muscle diastasis from pregnancies, the fact that I had an umbilical hernia repair and that the umbilical stalk was transected completely by that surgeon.
