CROOCKS! terrible customer service, very rude and after 2 months back and forth they cancelled my order. terrible with appointments, each appointment is about 2-3 weeks apart, one of the appointments i went in to do paper for and background check , i was there 15 mins before my appointment after waiting 40 mins i walked in and they said my appointment doesn't not exist in their system and somebody messed up on their side, instead of making another appointment on the spot and apologies since it was their mess up they told me... read more

Today, I and a fellow veteran visited the Martin B. Retting gun Shop in Culver City, and Eddie, a wonderful and wise person behind the counter gave us the red carpet treatment. Eddie was most patient with our questions, in regards to brands, etc.We were able to do comparison shopping, holding and testing fit, comfort and related interest. The worst shopping experience of my life. What’s wrong with these bunch of pumped up dicks with guns?! The sales people can not answer simple questions or answered the questions with 3rd grade intelligence. If you ask the same question the other person- you got different answer. One of the stuff member has to be pulled by manager into the back room, because he wants to confront me right there. This is going on in the gun store! I wish I knew where I can report these rude behavior and horrible experience.

I had good conversations as long as I was spending money. I went there recently and was YELLED at for DARING to walk in the front door (it was open) before the store "officially" opened. When I went back in for an apology, I was yelled at again. I wrote an email asking for satisfaction and it was never answered. Rude, prices at or above list price, limited selection on many desirable items and a lot of schlocky crap. Do not waste your time or money of this batch of jerks. EVIL / RUDE CRUDDY PLACE! Rudest sales staff ever! Poor selection of schlock merchandise. Prices at or OVER list price. Stay away - do not go there. Turners is a much better place. LAX Range is a much better place. Big 5 is a much better place. Retting is one of the worst experience ever had as a consumer. Retting is the worst thing you can do to your wallet.

If your not buying a gun, they're not interested!! – I went in today, 06/08/2011, to take the handgun safety certificate test. I was informed that if I were to buy a gun that there was a $10 dicount from the certificate fee. After veiwing a selection of guns in the show case, I infomed the employee there that I wasn't sure yet what I wanted and told him I would pay the extra $10 to just to take the test...he responded in an exasperated manner and said, "It's your money!" 5 minutes later he returned to inform me that the stor... read more

There is an old saying that a man who can not smile, should never open a business. Going to Rettings is like going to the DMV, you'll get through the line someday, but what a painful experience. You would thing that the staff was being forced at gunpoint to work there. I have always wondered why there were so many un-happy people with major ego based attitudes in this business, maybe because they can not afford the guns themselves? Rude Rude Rude Overpriced terrible service Dont even think of going there the only reason they are still in buisness is they are the only Gun Shop in West LA if you want to pay way to much and be treated rudely then go there but be warned. if you want details read everybody elses bad experiances
