Rude, dismissive and on a constant high horse with a stank face. No warmth, no customer service, just cold and transactional energy. Not worth the time or money—plenty of better braiders who are professional, and actually care and respect their clients.

Martika is the real deal! I booked with her after seeing the glowing reviews and I was not disappointed. She was so professional and friendly and beyond that, she was kind. I recently did a big chop and was feeling a bit nervous and insecure about my hair being quite short. However she was very accommodating and made me feel comfortable in her chair. I got a 10-braid style done and I couldn’t be happier with the result! The braids were super neat, clean, and symmetrical — you can tell she really takes pride in her work. She was professional, quick, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I’ve gotten so many compliments already. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who knows how to braid with both skill and care. Will definitely be coming back!

This was my very first time doing braids and Martika was the perfect person to help me start this new journey. I got cornrow stitch braids and they turned out amazing, she was also very helpful with explaining how to maintain them and how to properly do aftercare to keep them fresh for as long as possible. I don't think anyone would regret coming here for any of the services she provides.

My hair came out so stiff and wanted to charge me $200+ for a silk press with no styling and nothing for the flyaways just stiff and dry. She is not customer service oriented, didn't smile once. She is nice on the phone and when you get there you don't feel welcome. 🙄 updated: FYI, her reply is not true. I came during the early afternoon, and I do not work at Starbucks. Maybe she thinks I'm someone else. It was a regular appointment, not after hours, and she had a client after me.
